What you get

When fruit lands in the UK, the receiver's intake report is often the only record. A second report, taken at the same time to the same standard, puts evidence behind a price negotiation or a claim.

How an instruction works

  1. Tell me what is arrivingContainer number, port or cold store, receiver, and what you need checked.
  2. Agree scope and feeA fixed fee per container, confirmed in writing before I attend.
  3. I attend and surveySampling, defect counts, temperatures and photographs.
  4. You receive the reportWithin 48 hours, with a summary on the day if a decision cannot wait.

Who does the survey

I carry out every survey myself. You get the same surveyor each time, not whoever a larger firm sends.

The report says what I found, whether or not it helps the party paying the fee.

I am Giorgio Mannina, based in Cheltenham, and I attend at ports, cold stores and distribution centres across the UK. I survey all fresh fruit and produce.

If a container is claimed, send me the details.
